The Pair Rooku concept has reached new heights - literally! In Kamikochi, a tiny hiking community nestled high in the Northern Alps of Japan, couples take Pair Rooku very seriously.
Just because you are out bush does not mean you have to leave it behind as this couple strongly prove.
I wonder where you can buy just one of those outfits, let alone 2??

I can't believe you wrote that because in the pocket guide given to us by our hotel it talks about appropriate dress for hiking and says "You must not wear high heels."
At about 4pm yesterday afternoon we were nearly home, talking about the fact we did not see one set of high heels on our hike when lo and behold....a pair came. Attached to long socks and short shorts. And a man wearing the male equivalent - i.e. big hair and a brooding look.
We could not stop giggling.
